Blackdown Hills Artisans
Open their doors once again!
Sat, 12 & Sun 13 May 2012
There is a wealth of creative talent tucked away in the Blackdown Hills making almost anything from bread to ceramics from salami to sculptures from cider to socks and from furniture to fish pâté – and many of these artisans are amongst the Blackdown Hills Business Association’s 300+ members.
Following the success of our open weekend early in May 2011, we published a guide to Blackdown Hills Artisans listing all 36 of our artisans plus local tea shops, pubs and restaurants. Copies are available at many local venues in the area. Alternatively you can click here for Blackdown Hills Artisans in PDF format. All the website links on the leaflet are active, so you can browse through their websites with ease! (Here is a link to Adobe if you are unable to download the file www.adobe.com.)
Artisans, by their very nature, are usually hard at work behind closed doors producing, creating, making and restoring or taking part in shows and events and are not always available. However, they would be delighted to hear from you - to make an appointment to view, purchase or to discuss a commission.
We are now putting together a new list of Artisans for the open weekend on Sat, 12 and Sun 13 May 2012. We will posting up details of participating businesses as soon as they sign up!
With special thanks to the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Sustainable Development Fund, SPS Marketing and Otter Brewery for their generous sponsorship of this initiative.
